On the eve of the Iranian New Year, Nowruz stands as a profound reflection of our grounded, enlightened and lucid culture,
On the eve of Nowruz, the foundation and essence of which are built upon the undeniable presence of humanity and our collective need for happiness,
On the eve of Nowruz, which exemplifies solidarity and the reconciliation of humanity with nature,
On the eve of Nowruz, which signifies the end of cold and darkness and the beginning of light and happiness,
On the eve of Nowruz, a timeless symbol of equality and justice that embraces all humanity, regardless of gender, religion, or belief,
On the eve of the New Year 2585, and following forty-seven years of darkness, we hope that this coming year brings a message of freedom, peace, prosperity, and happiness to the suffering people of Iran.

Nowruz 1405-2585
The Pasargad Heritage Foundation names the year (1405-2585) “The Year of the Lion and the Sun”
On the eve of Nowruz and the beginning of the New Year, following its annual tradition, the Pasargad Heritage Foundation has announced the designation of the New Year (1405-2585), “The Year of the Lion and the Sun.”
This year, this designation carries a profound cultural and historical significance. After forty-seven years, we believe the Iranian flag, featuring these two beautiful symbols (the Lion and the Sun), derived from thousands of years of heritage and culture will once again stand above our land to its rightful place. This choice represents a restoration of our national identity and dismantling of the influence of those alien and foreign to our historical culture (and our land).
The concluding months of this year mark one of the darkest and most bitter periods in Iran’s modern history. While the exact timing of national liberation remains uncertain, we are however confident that the unified efforts of millions of Iranians, both domestically and abroad, is providing a clear path forward. This solidarity, centered on our cultural heritage under the Lion and the Sun flag and the leadership of Prince Reza Pahlavi, offers a firm promise of progress toward freedom.
On behalf of the Pasargad Heritage Foundation, we welcome the arrival of spring and Nowruz with the hope that this year brings a period of renewal for the people of Iran, characterized by freedom, prosperity, and a successful transition toward a bright future.
